Pat and Laura met as two Bronco alumni back in Kalamazoo, MI for a student event on April 11, 2018. Pat was representing Constellation at the time, and Laura was representing Meijer to evaluate student end of year projects that were sample pitches for a food marketing class. Laura knew of Pat prior to this meeting as all the girls at the Meijer campus were fawning over the new hot alcohol sales guy, but was one of the few that didn't... initially. After watching the college kids get drunk off free booze and head home, Pat and Laura weren't ready for the night to end so they headed to downtown Kzoo where Laura entranced him with her sub-par pool skills. After that they were fast friends! Fast forward that friendship 3.5 years later to NYE ringing in 2022 and they finally became a couple. The switchover from friends to a relationship was an interesting journey and buying a house 6 months later added to that uniqueness, but in time they found their rhythm. Pat proposed to Laura on Memorial Day weekend in 2025 and Laura {classic} had the wedding booked within 5 days! Pat is looking forward to eternity being passenger princess to Laura's efficiently planned travel and Laura is looking forward to always having gourmet meals for life instead of Kraft Mac &amp; Cheese or Fettuccini Alfredo without the Alfredo!

Join us on the beach as we welcome you after your long journey to share this special weekend with us! We will have cocktails and a taco station to start following with a bonfire after sunset. It's an all white party so you are highly encouraged to wear your best white beach chic attire. Think linens, cottons, breathable beachy fabrics!

Get ready for an evening of celebrating the McShanes! The theme is tropical disco - bright colors, lights, and the stunning Cabo landscape.

Attire: Semi-formal beach chic

For women: Flowy dresses, cocktail dresses, or chic jumpsuits in breathable fabrics (linen, silk, cotton). Dressy sandals, wedges, or block heels (ceremony will be held in the grass so keep that in mind for shoes).

For men: Lightweight suits, linen trousers with a crisp shirt, or dress pants with a blazer. Loafers, dress shoes, or polished sneakers (no flip flops).

Event Details

1. In order for your rate to be the cheapest and refundable please use the code MCSHANE26. If you do not, the hotel will not be able to change your reservation or give you the room block rate later. I promise our rate is cheaper than any promotion they are running on their site. If you have questions, please reach out to Laura. 2. Ubers are ILLEGAL in Cabo at the airport! You will have to secure a private car transfer to make it to the hotel property. Please send Laura your flight details once booked to help coordinate shared travel to save you all money and meet new friends! 3. Please ensure you have a valid passport that isn’t expiring before April 2026 so you do not have problems getting into Mexico! 4. If you were thinking about getting global entry, now is the time to do it. To avoid having to schedule an appointment, you can purchase and apply for global entry prior to travel. I write this sitting in Cabo observing these majestic animals breach from the ocean while on my balcony after having seen many whales yesterday on this tour. While most have left by April, there is still a possibility of a spotting a whale and its an experience I cannot recommend enough. If you dont get seasick easily I recommend the Zodiac tour which is a small boat that allows you to get up close and personal with the whales (safely). This is also one of the more rare companies that has a marine biologist as your guide so they know the patterns and how to get the most out of your tour by spotting the whales better than some of the other regular boat captains.
